Elvie Garcia

Elvie Garcia is the compassionate founder and owner of West Hill Home Care LLC and Elvie’s Traveling Angels LLC, both dedicated to delivering personalized, heartfelt care to seniors and individuals in need throughout Kent, Washington. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University and a lifelong calling as a caregiver, Elvie’s journey began with a deep desire to uplift others—one family at a time. An immigrant from the Philippines, she brings warmth, empathy, and cultural richness to her work, creating an assisted living environment where residents feel seen, heard, and truly at home.
At West Hill Home, Elvie leads with love and integrity, ensuring that each resident receives care grounded in dignity and respect. From seniors with dementia to younger adults with disabilities, she and her team provide daily support in a family-style setting that nurtures emotional, physical, and social well-being. Elvie manages day-to-day operations, supervises caregivers, coordinates care plans, and supports families through life’s transitions—all with a personal touch that reflects her mission: to make caregiving a deeply human, empowering experience.
Driven by purpose and community, Elvie remains actively engaged in local events and advocacy for senior care. Her leadership continues to shape a safe, nurturing space where compassionate care meets professional excellence.

What do you attribute your success to?
I didn't do this alone. I felt protected, guided, and strengthened beyond your own capacity at times. That's divine alignment. I refused to accept average. I demanded more from life. and from myself even the world told me to shrink. That fire built everything. My friends, my mentor, my staff member, my residents, my dog Dakota, my family back in the Philippines. I carried their belief in my heart, especially when my own belief was low.My hardest moments gave me my real power. I used rejection, pain, and disrespect as a fuel and that's what turned my story into something magnetic. I am not just living for survival anymore. I'm living for legacy. That shift is why my name is starting to echo in bigger rooms.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received wasn't found in a textbook or a boardroom. It came during a moment when I was at my lowest, when life was whispering, "You don't belong here" And someone said to me: "You don't have to ask for permission to be powerful. You already are."
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To every young woman entering this space whether it's caregiving, home care, leadership, or building your own business from scratch let me tell you something I wish someone told me at the beginning
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my life right now is carrying the weight of everyone and everything while still trying to heal myself. I'm building, businesses, holding up people, making hard decisions, being strong for my team, my clients, my community and sometimes it feels like no on sees how tired my soul is. Another challenge? Trust. knowing who's really with me and who's just here for the glow. When you rise, you attract both light and shadow. That's real. Biggest opportunity is massive. I am standing on the edge of my next level. Doors are opening. People are noticing. The vision I've held in my heart for years is becoming visible to the world. Right now, I have the chance to: build a movement, not just a business, empower other woman to break cycles, turn my story to platform that makes money, impact, and legacy all at once. I'm not just running West Hill. I'm creating something that can't be duplicate because it's built on truth, heart, and grit.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value: loyalty, truth, and mutual respect.
